Hi there, I’m Fatima —or, Fatas, the name I’ve gone with for the longest time!

I’m a fresh graduate in Biomedical Engineering from Airlangga University, where I was particularly invested in the research on AI-driven diagnosis and decision making that happens to make me a believer of conventional-to-personalized medical treatment transformation —one in which AI serves as a vital catalyst to bring this future to life. For the most part, I find myself gravitating towards dissecting the dynamics of human beings and their brains —encompassing the complexities of how they function at the cognitive and behavioral levels, hence my deep curiosity in neuroscience and its evolving potential to shape the future of medical science, AI, and their integration into meaningful human-centered systems.

As I’m about to embark on a new phase in life, I’ve been navigating this transition by catching up on some learning as well as working on independent projects. Outside of the sufficient deduction required to tackle those two, I tend to linger in thought about the things I observe and sense on a daily basis. Some of them fascinate me so irresistibly that I’ve been trying to write them down —kindly check my pieces and scribbles to find out more.

I typically love to spend my time reading and watching movies. Additionally, I’ve always been keen on making music and engaging in creative activities —such as painting, cooking, and crafting. For the physical part, I’m an average exerciser: a Sunday town square runner and a casual yogi —only when I have enough macro intake and a slight can-do spirit that I take up my sister’s invitation to play tennis (re: my skill is nothing serious knowing that the conversation-takeaways I get from interacting with people I meet on the court almost always outpace my actual progress in the game :D).

It’s a pleasure to welcome you to my page. If anything, feel free to reach out to me through email —I’m always down for collaborations and nice conversations about science, art, life, and anything in between!
